The developers over at Schmap.com have release a neat little web-app that lets you browse for a variety of locations and events through most major cities from your iPod Touch or iPhone.

Its easy, just browse to http://www.schmap.com from either of those Apple devices over Wi-Fi or EDGE. Select the city you wish to peruse and then the sites you wish to see (cafes, hotels, tours, etc…). Schmap will then display a listing of each of the sites it has for your search. The nifty part comes when you rotate your device into landscape browsing as the listing you’ve selected will be displayed in a static Google Map image along side the original listing. The rumors are out and they have re-styled one of the worlds most popular personal technologies, the Apple iPhone. The iPodObserver has released the above image claiming it to be the new 3G iPhone in all its high-gloss glory.

Some are saying that this new plastic back would be a logical step towards fixing the 1st gen iPhones antennae and connectivity issues. It is speculated that Apple’s new revisions will include 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz WCDMA, 802.11n, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc. What do you think? Drop it in the comments below.

Thats right, Apple has officially released the 16 GB iPhone and they are available immediately in both the US and internationally. This pumped up iPhone can be your too for only $499.

An even more awesome and surprising release is of the new 32 GB iPod Touch. This new iPod touch will also cost $499 and is available immediately as well.

Ryan Block seems to have stumbled over some new enhancements to the iPhone’s email client which includes a two-pane view mode as well as the removal of the x of y message indicator, pictured below…

Ken and Greg Aspeslagh claim that they created the application at the C-4 Developer Conference’s Iron Coder Live this weekend, winning first prize.

The hacked videoconferencing is now working on the iPhone using the Wi-Fi connection and its built-in camera and a combo mirror and stand device that allows your face to be seen with the iPhones reverse facing camera (seen in picture).

It only has one flaw: it doesn’t handle audio, just video. For the sound part you have to initiate a normal call in the iPhone.
