Art International Radio is an internet radio station based in the Clocktower in lower Manhattan, run by Alanna Heiss, who’s been at the forefront of contemporary art in New York City for decades. The Internet radio station is a non-profit Internet radio station, free online cultural archive, and media arts center. Producing over 500 new radio shows annually, AIR features a diverse range of programming from audio art to interviews and from music to spoken word and radio theater.

AIR broadcasts art-related talk and interviews as well as an eclectic range of music, and experiments with radio theatere and more ambitious sound-based extensions of art projects. If you’re a fan of the music, theatre or excellent old fashion radio programming you should definietly give AIR a listen, after all it is FREE! One world. 24 hours. 6 billion perspectives. That is the concept for a new YouTube exclusive film that will be shot in just 24 hours by you and edited by Ridley Scott. Here is the official text from YouTube’s Life In A Day site.

“Life In A Day is a historic global experiment to create a user-generated feature film, shot in a single day, by you. On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.

The film will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011 and will be available right here on YouTube. If your footage makes it into the finished film, you’ll be credited as a co-director and you could be one of 20 contributors brought to Sundance to celebrate with Kevin Macdonald.”

This work is a copy of the hoverboard from the movie Back to the Future II. Integrated into the board and the plinth is an electromagnetic system which levitates the board. It seems that Andrew Bell ang Google have joined forces to create Series01 Android Collectibles. The Series 01 includes 12 different designs in blind-boxed cases of 16. A whole case will nearly include full set. Be on the lookout for some super rare editions. Each vinyl Android figure stands about 3” tall and features a rotating head and arms. Series 01 will be available later this month, collect them all!

Well, a new Tattoo concept has been designed by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They envision embedding hair sized nanotubes under your skin, which will act like real tattoos.
