Everything was working fine. I upgraded to a later version of apple’s OS (10.6.8) and it stopped working. I receive a message that others have referenced.

“Undefined error occurred. (0xffffdcf7)
A probable cause is that the system is unstable. Reboot the system if this does not resolve the problem, contact the store where you purchased the scanner or an authorized software provider”

Have you encountered this? Do you have any recommendations?

Is there a folow up on the snow Leopard?

I am using a windows scanner on a mac. Had 2 do some changes (jap version change ingl 4 jap) 2 make it work, however on the snow it does not work. Thanks

Hello Guys, like everyone here, I’m a fan of Fujitsu Scansnap. But I can’t get my S510 to work with my new Macbook Air, Lion by default. Anyone have instructions on how to do this? Thanks.

Thanx – worked well untill Lion came out. Now I get a “error oxffffdcf7 system unstable” error. Does anyone have an idea on how to handle this?

I have a ScanSnap s510 that was working on my Mac. Recently, something went haywire and I cannot get it to work with the Mac. I have been trying everything from the downloads on this page to how I got it to work previously. Nothing is working. Does anyone have any ideas how to get it going. It is critical to be able to scan to file more than anything.

Hi all.
i have an s500. was working fine with the japanese language driver from fujitsu. But i wanted to be able to read it, so i tried the package posted by viruz. it installed and now when i scan, i get a “unstable” error after the scan and it does not work. anyone have this problem? thoughts? help?

I used your install package on 10.6.8, it installs fine, the scanner is recognized, but upon scanning, get the error: “Undefined error occurred.(0xffffdcf87) A probable cause is that the system is unstable. Reboot the system. If this does not resolve the problem, contact the store where you purchased the scanner or an authorized service provider.” Ideas?

Got this solution to work with my ScanSnap s510! Thanks everyone! I downloaded and installed the hacked file VIRuZ posted on December 14th, 2010 (ScanSnap_S510_SL_Hack.pkg). I then followed Todd’s suggestion on January 5th, 2011, to download and install the ScanSnap Manager from the Japanese page on top of the hacked copy (ScanSnap_V22L23.dmg). Seems to be working great.
